Clues to describe this book: Work Emails, Crush, Best Friends, ‘90s

Review: Attachments is a charming little story about Lincoln, who is a computer security guard at a newspaper, reads the work emails between two women and he ultimately falls in love with one of them. Though Lincoln had to monitor Beth and Jennifer’s emails due to his job, it feels a bit stalker-ish that he is invading their privacy. However, the overall premise of the story is sweet, funny, and mood lifting. I really enjoyed the late ‘90s vibe in the novel which will make you feel nostalgic with all the pop culture references. Beth and Jennifer’s friendship is relatable and is wonderful to see evolve throughout the novel. Lincoln’s character is a bit odd and awkward at times which doesn’t suit his age, but his developments grows in a positive light as the story progresses. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a witty novel with a touch of romance.
