The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand
Clues to describe this book: Sibling Rivalry, Secrets, Island Hopping, Selfishness
Review: The Identicals is the worst book I have so far. It was the first time where I felt the book wasn’t worth the price I bought it for and didn’t understand why it received decent reviews. The story is basically a terrible adult version of the Parent Trap where a set of identical twin sisters who live on two distinct islands are as different as their personalities. After living a decade a part, the twins, Harper and Tabitha, decide to switch islands and lives for a summer. They unravel secrets, lies, and gossip which they thought that they could outrun, but travel between the islands. All the characters in this book are repulsive and selfish narcissists. There were a few times I thought of putting this book down and not finishing it, but I was already half way through it and thought maybe it would get better, but it doesn’t. Skip putting this book on your TBR list, you’ll be glad that you did.
