Review: The Kiss Quotient

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

Clues to describe this book: Asperger’s, dating, self discovery, acceptance

Review: The Kiss Quotient is Helen Hoang’s debut novel. This romance read follows Stella, who has Asperger’s and is an econometrician. She’s convinced that she needs lessons to be good at sex and relationships so she hires Michael, an escort, to teach her. Michael is so sweet and patient. I was so glad that I made this my June BOTM pick! This book is kind of like the gender reversed version of Pretty Woman. It was a bit more steamy and erotic that I anticipated, but it was tastefully done. The story was also super sweet which was a perfect balance. The writing style keeps you interested throughout the whole story. Stella and Michael each had such fascinating personalities and they were so lovable on their each way. I finished the book in a matter of a weekend and loved the way it ended. I can’t wait to read the sequel, The Bride, which will come out later this year/early next year. I highly recommend this novel if you’re looking for a lighthearted feel good novel or if you’re into romance novels.
