Review: Love and Omissions is Neva Rae Bella debut novel. The premise of this romance read follows Kate, a law professor, is reunited with her ex-boyfriend, Matt, under the circumstances of her grandfather’s (Judge) will reading. Kate and Matt discover they need to complete a scavenger hunt together in order for Kate and her family to receive her grandfather’s inheritance. As Kate and Matt embark this scavenger hunt, will they rekindle their love? This was an enjoyable read especially after I had such an intense novel before. I really liked the author’s writing style and was able to keep my interest throughout the whole novel. I wasn’t too fond of either main character. At first I kind of liked Kate, but ended up hating her at the end. Matt was just pathetic all around and just seems to have a have his cake and eat it too approach. The beginning of the story kept my interest, however, I was really disappointed in the ending. I would recommend this novel if you like reading lighthearted romance reads. Also I can’t wait to read the author’s next book which will be poetry.
