Review: The Wife Between Us

The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen

Clues to describe this book: Perception, Control, Lies, Toxic Relationships

Review: The Wife Between Us was one of the December 2017 BOTM picks and was released in January. I’ve heard such great reviews about this thriller that I had to add it into my January BOTM list. In my reviews, I typically like to write a couple of sentences about the plot, but for this particular book, I’m not sure what to write without giving too much away. The only thing I can say is that assume nothing while reading this obsessive compulsive toxic relationship unfold. There are so many twists and turns that I was on the edge of my seat throughout the novel. The ending somewhat took me by surprise. I was very impressed with how seamless the writing style was for this novel considering it’s from two authors. This story is fast-paced with short chapters. There are three parts in the novel – the first part is my favorite. The characters are well-developed and complex even though I had mixed feelings on how I felt about Vanessa at the end. Overall, I enjoyed reading this intense psychological thriller. It kind of reminded me of The Last Mrs. Parrish. I highly recommend reading this if you love reading novels that contain emotionally wrenching affairs or psychological thrillers.
