Review: Perfect Match is Zoe May’s debut novel. This romcom is about Sophia Jones who has no luck in finding her “perfect” man and goes through her string of terrible online dates. When Sophia is about to give up on dating all together, her roommate, Kate, suggests that she set up her profile describing who her ‘perfect’ man would be. Once Sophia finds the ‘perfect’ man who checks off all the items on her list, will it be all that she hoped and dreamed of or will it be a bust?

Though online dating is pretty common nowadays, this is the first time I found it being discussed in a novel which I found to be quite refreshing. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the author gives a realistic and relatable view about online dating. She also incorporates twists and turns in the storyline which keeps the reader engaged throughout the novel. It has now become one of my favorite contemporary romance reads! All the characters are well-developed, charming, funny, and extremely relatable. I also loved the way that the author wrote the minor characters’ stories which were equally as interesting. The novel is a quick and easy read with a satisfying ending. If you’re looking for a modern fairytale to lift your spirits, I would highly recommend checking this book out. It is definitely worth the time to read! The book releases this Friday 1/12/18.
